cooperativa.cl – El pesista paralímpico Juan Carlos Garrido le dio un nuevo oro al Team Chile, tras imponerse en la categoría de 59 kilos en los Juegos Parapanamericanos de Toronto 2015.
Garrido rápidamente impuso la marca ganadora, al lograr levantar en su primer intento170 kilos, lejos de los 162 que logró el brasileño Bruno Pinheiro (2°) y aún más de los 137 del cubano Yoander Arias (3°).
Tras asegurar el oro, Garrido batió el récord parapanamericano que él había impuesto y llegó a 175 kilos, y falló en su tercer intento, donde probó levantar 178 y no lo logró.
De esta manera, Garrido le dio la segunda presea dorada a Chile en Canadá, tras el oro que logró su compañero Jorge Carinao en la categoría de 54 kilos.
